Celebrating Children's day at Wat Plai Laem school
The Samui Family and AIS distributed new editions to the Library of Wat Plai Laem school.

Christmas Celebrations with the children of Koh Samui filled with joy and laughter.
The events were kicked off with a few Christmas songs, followed by fun, educational games with the kids where they got a chance to interact with our energetic volunteers, as well as a Yoga workshop (supplied by the volunteers of Absolute Sanctuary).
A delicious lunch buffet was prepared by the venues for the children which they thoroughly enjoyed. When finally time came for Santa to appear they were incredibly excited and couldn't wait to open their gifts, some of them for the first time. 
The youngest kids from the Wat Boontarikgaram school were even so excited to touch Santa it took almost 15 minutes just to calm them down. So anxious were they to shake hands with Santa and receive their presents, it was nearly impossible for them to wait in line.
The lunch at the school was generously catered by Impiana Resort & Spa, and supplied by Nigel Mills (Nigel's BBC & Catering). Beverages were generously supplied by Makro, cash & carry.
The children definitely had the experience of a lifetime and they were incredibly greatful for the wonderful opportunity given to them to play, interact with foreigners and catch the spirit of giving.

Besides these four Christmas party events, a generous donation made by AIS of library book items as well as other gifts donated by charitable individuals will be distributed to another local government school before the New Year. Celebrate Christmas with The Samui Family
Every year The Samui Family and the Samui Expats Club non-profit island charitable organizations organize 8 to 10 special ‘Children’s Holiday Parties’ for 1000 to 1500 government school children on Samui - with the help of island businesses and individuals.
The happiness of the children at each holiday party is wonderfully rewarding to the children, teachers and those that support this annual holiday project. The kids love the parties and the opportunity to visit an island hotel, learn from the ‘English Workshop’, enjoy lunch and entertainment… topped off by a visit from Santa Claus.
The success of the annual children’s holiday project, providing a wonderful experience for over 350 island government school children, is only possible with the help and support of our generous sponsors and volunteers.
Our goal is to raise a donated 350 gifts plus other needs for ‘Kids Holiday Party’.
